One person died Saturday in a rollover crash along Interstate 25 south of Fort Collins.

One person was killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover wreck along Interstate 25 south of Fort Collins.

Emergency crews were dispatched about 3:15 p.m. to an area near mile marker 257, north of U.S. Highway 34, on reports of a rollover crash on southbound I-25. The vehicle's only occupant was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis said.

Additional details about the crash or the person who died were not immediately available Saturday. Delays were expected in the area for several hours.

The fatality was the second of the day in Larimer County. A 23-year-old man was killed when the vehicle he was driving drifted off of Shields Street in southwest Fort Collins and smashed into a fence. Alcohol is suspected to have been a contributing factor in that crash.
