Amber Alert canceled, missing infant found safe

CASHION, Okla. – Authorities say an infant has been found unharmed after she was abducted in Oklahoma.

Dispatcher Traci Tate with the Kingfisher County Sheriff's Department said the 5-month-old girl was found "safe and sound" early Friday morning. She said she could not immediately say where the girl was found, or what condition she was in.

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety canceled the Amber Alert it had issued earlier for the girl. It provided no further details about her recovery.

Authorities had said earlier the girl was abducted near Cashion, in central Oklahoma. The alert said officials were searching for two women, who were possibly headed to Salt Lake City.

The Amber Alert was extended to Colorado, as authorities thought the suspects might travel through the state on their way to Utah.
