Water levels are high along the Poudre River as more rain is expected Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in Fort Collins, CO.

The Poudre River is flowing at 1,200 cubic feet per second, nearly triple the average for this time of year.

This has potential to increase, as Larimer County is under a low threat level of flooding, according to the Colorado Water Conservation Board.

Thunderstorms this afternoon are expected to bring heavy rain, possibly as much as 1.5 inches of precipitation.

At 4.97 feet, as of early Tuesday afternoon, the Poudre is not at immediate risk of flooding. Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
