Science and technology startups have until Sept. 4 to apply to be a part of the third cohort of client companies that Innosphere takes on this year.

The Fort Collins accelerator will start its third round of training in October.

Innosphere took on 11 client companies in May as part of its second cohort for the year. Two of the startups — the food manufacturing company Purenfusion and improved helmet maker Change Composites — are based in Fort Collins.

Altogether, Innosphere is supporting 37 client companies and four startups led by Colorado State University students, according to the organization. The accelerator also has eight companies in pre-client status.

Startups generally pay Innosphere $5,000 annually in exchange for product and business plan consulting, fundraising support and networking assistance. The accelerator works with about 40 companies per year on raising capital, increasing sales and reaching other business goals. Those that reach their goals, graduate and then leave the program in a stronger position than when they entered.
