A 42-year-old, Fort Collins-based construction company announced Friday that has merged with Colorado Springs-based Bryan Construction Inc.

Together Drahota and Bryan Construction will have more than 120 employees, four offices and an expanded footprint in Colorado and Wyoming. The construction companies’ merger wrapped up this month after roughly six months of talks, Drahota Business Manager Patty Williams said.

Drahota was started in Fort Collins in 1973 by President and CEO Terry Drahota. The company will operate as “Drahota — A Bryan Construction Company” and keep its 40 employees in Fort Collins and two workers in Steamboat Springs, Williams said. “Everything stays the same.”

Bryan Construction stared in 1978 and now has offices in Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Greenwood Village. Together the locations house roughly 78 employees, according to a joint press release.

“Drahota’s expertise, resources and track record of high-quality projects throughout the Denver mountain regions and Wyoming — particularly in the multifamily and resort areas — will create a formidable entity with broad reach, big capabilities and high standards,” Bryan Construction owner Scott Bryan said in a statement.
