The Colorado Eagles will retire the number of fan-favorite Ryan Tobler.

Tobler played seven seasons with the Eagles and is fourth on the franchise’s all-time points list with 416. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound left wing was named the CHL’s Best Power Forward four years in a row from 2003 to 2007.

He had 182 goals and was a plus-143 in 367 regular season games with Colorado and added 940 penalty minutes. He was part of both of the Eagles’ CHL championships in 2005 and 2007.

His No. 7 will be raised alongside former linemates Greg Pankewicz and Riley Nelson when the Eagles host the Kalamazoo Wings on March 28.

“Ryan Tobler is truly deserving of this great honor and we will be so proud to see his number join those of his longtime linemates Riley Nelson and Greg Pankewicz in the rafters of the Budweiser Events Center,” said Eagles general manager and head coach Chris Stewart in a press release. “The Eagles time in the Central Hockey League was filled with tremendous success and Ryan was a major contributor to what was arguably the greatest line in Colorado Eagles history.”
