Sharin' O' The Green: Run with us

Coloradoan staff
Participants run in the Sharin' O' the Green 5k Saint Patrick's Day race in downtown Fort Collins Saturday, March 15, 2014.

Join in our Fort Collins Bucket List fun next weekend for the 17th annual Sharin' O' The Green 5K.

We've identified the St. Patrick's Day weekend celebration as one of our 15 in 15 bucket list items, and we'd love for you to come along with us.

Team Coloradoan will meet at the starting line on March 14 for the fundraiser, which will feature plenty of green. As part of our team, you'll receive a $5 discount on your race entry, plus a Coloradoan t-shirt and access to personalized post-race photos.

Here's the link to register: https://raceroster.com/events/2015/3784/sharin-o-the-green-2015/register?ref=event-right-sidebar.

Once you've registered, email editor Lauren Gustus at lgustus@coloradoan.com with your confirmation. She'll prepare Coloradoan swag, including a race day t-shirt, for you and leave it at the front desk at the Coloradoan, 1300 Riverside Ave in Fort Collins.

Organized by Fort Collins' Partners Mentoring Youth, Sharin' O' the Green is the largest fundraiser for the nonprofit, raising about $100,000 annually. The 3.1-mile Old Town race draws nearly 3,000 participants, some in their best leprechaun costumes.

Celebrate your run with an Odell Brewing Co. beer. Cost is $30 for adults (to join Team Coloradoan, and $35 if not) and free for youth participants 17 and younger. Young children can run in the Shamrock Scurry, a shorter race for kids 12 and younger.

The race is followed by Lucky Joe's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, which is free to the public.
