The Colorado Oil and Gas Task Force will meet Thursday and Friday at The Ranch Events Complex, 5280 Arena Circle, in Loveland.

The 19-member task force was formed Sept. 8 by Gov. John Hickenlooper to revisit regulations for oil and gas operations due to increased industry activity. Its membership includes representatives from the government, civic organizations, environmental groups, agriculture and other affected industries.

Thursday’s session will focus on Northern Colorado government and perspectives, a case study of Longmont and other Front Range communities and a two-hour public comment session, which begins at 5 p.m.

Friday’s half-day session will zero in on priority issues and decision-making practices.
